Athletic Roundup

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams were in action this past week. Both teams earned their first victory of the year against Morrisville State on Tuesday, while both teams fell to Hamilton College this past Saturday. The women?s basketball victory over Morrisville was the first in program history!!!! Wells also secured three North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week awards for the week ending November 21. Ashley Roser earned NEAC honors in women’s basketball, while Gabby Spencer and Dan Schilling were both selected for their efforts in Swimming. Holiday Card Workshop

The Wells Book Arts Center presents a Holiday Card Workshop!

Thursday, December 9 – 1:00-4:00pm

Have you ever wanted to letterpress but never got the chance? Both experts and novices are invited to learn the basics of the art of letterpress printing in a relaxed, comfortable setting.

We will have a number of presses ready in different colors for your use. You choose your design and you get to print your own cards. What could be a better gift for friends, families, and loved ones?

Six hand-printed cards for $10.

Register in the dining hall to reserve your space. Drop-ins welcome, too.

Senior Class Winter Carnival

Sunday December 5th from 11-3pm in the Sommer Center the senior class will be holding a Winter Carnival!

The winter carnival will include games, club fundraisers, a can drive and the fall semester senior auction! Come one, come all!

For each donation of a non-perishable food item you will be given a dollars worth of tickets to spend on games! So bring in those food items. Donations will be given to a local food bank.

The senior auction will be held from 2 to 3 so come and make sure to bring your friends and find out what talents the senior class has been hiding!

Make sure to bring money to this event as many clubs and classes will be holding their fundraisers!

Men’s and women’s swimming and men’s and women’s basketball were in action over the past few days. Swimming took on SUNY Cobleskill here at home this past Thursday. Women’s basketball traveled south to take on College of St. Elizabeth and Wilson College, while the men’s traveled North to participate in the Ken Wright -52 Invitational hosted by Amherst College in Amherst, Mass. Fitness Center Hours

Hello Students,

For those of you who will still be around during Thanksgiving Break, here are the fitness center hours.

Wednesday: 7-9am, 11-1pm, 5-7pm
Thursday & Friday: Closed
Saturday: 11-1pm, 5-7pm
Sunday: 11-1, 5-8pm

Pool will be closed over these days and will reopen on Monday when students come back.

Also, this Tuesday, November 23rd is the first home men’s and women’s basketball game of the season. The women’s team will be making their debut as the first women’s basketball team ever to play at Wells College. Action kicks off with the women’s team at 6pm and the men’s team at 8pm going against Morrisville here at the Schwartz center. Come show your support! The women’s tennis team will be selling concessions to raise money for our upcoming spring season. Would be great to see you there.
