The Class of 1970 Experiential Learning (Internship) Stipend is funded from the endowment gift established in 2010 by alumnae Alice Fisher Woodson Smith, Patricia Tyler van der Vorm, and members of the Wells Class of 1970. The Academic Standing and Advising Committee awarded four students last spring on average of $500 toward their summer internship experiences.
The stipend is to provide support to Wells College students participating in an off campus internship opportunity. To apply for the award for internships occurring during the January 2013 Intersession or Spring Semester 2013, students must be registered for the spring semester and have a minimum grade point average of C+ (i.e., cumulative GPA ≥ 2.333) and have developed an off campus internship opportunity. Applications are available online at http://form.jotform.com/form/11093652906 and require that students provide a 250-word statement explaining how the money for the internship would assist toward your academic and career goals, estimated budget for the experience, Wells transcript, and a resume. Applications must be submitted by 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31st.
